Hello, I’m Charles Richardson, I’m British and have over 18 years’ experience in 1-2-1 English Language Coaching. In the last 6 years I’ve specialized in Accent Softening and Fluency Coaching.This year alone I have completed over 1000 hours of Coaching working with Doctors, Brokers, Company Directors, C-suite executives, to name a few.

I always wanted to add a different dimension to my language coaching. By chance a CEO in Finance I was working with at the time commented that on top of her improvement in Accent Softening…she has also gained a lot from my professional development advice. She encouraged me to further these innate skills as an ideal compliment to my business. My reaction was to take a short Coaching course at Cambridge University, followed by an extensive course at Oxford University. Both I completed; enjoyed greatly and gained valuable new methods to take back to my clients.

I have an academic background in Media Art, Performance & Philosophy – which I studied and completed in Spain in Spanish. I completed my Masters in Media Art and Critical Writing from University College London (UCL). These programmes taught me the value of agility, resilience, creativity and curiosity. Especially valuable when adapting to different client learning styles, developing unique courses and exploring unconventional but successful learning methods.

I became very conscious of the struggles of learning a new language while living in Guatemala for 2 years and Spain for over 8 years. Working and studying in Spanish while adjusting to cultural differences and norms was a challenge. However, those experiences have enriched me: from helping Midwives create a visual guide in Guatemala, exhibiting films in prestigious Museums worldwide, to coaching some of the very best Executives in London.
